hamilton island update - 3.06.07
The Cradle Coast Outrigger Canoe Club was the 11th Open Mens team across the finish line from a field of approx. 80 starters in the Marathon Change Race held on the 3rd June 2007 at Hamilton Island QLD, Australia.
The team finished the 42km race in a time of 3hrs 30mins. Team Member Damien Butler says the race was a great experience, and the team can be proud of achieving these results in their first Race Week foray.
Well Done and Congratulations to the team.

The Cradle Coast Open Men's Team finished their 1000m heat in 3rd position. This left the team with the 12th fastest time overall. The team was only 20 seconds off the pace.
Unfortunately, only the eight fastest times made the final.

The Cradle Coast Open Men's Team currently competing at Hamilton Island have finished the 16km race in 13th place from a flotilla of 32 canoes. Thanks to all club members who have assisted during the team's preparation.
There were four international teams in front of the crew making CCOCC the 9th placed Australian team - An Australian top ten finish! Well Done Team.
The 42km change race is scheduled to occur this weekend, 2-3 June 2007.
